Hmmm. Well this was certainly an interesting read, if you have time (it's four pages long) you should read it. To defeat the Taliban and al-Qaeda, the United States must start dealing with Afghanistan and Pakistan as one region, not as separate entities.

I don't necessarily disagree with it, but the fundamentalists aren't Pakistan, they're just in Pakistan. Which is why I don't condone the raids, especially with prospect of civilian causalities.

I know you're hip in the infiltration thing and that we've discussed how I don't believe it to be particularly viable considering the structure of this particular organization. I also think Polis' strategy poses widespread civilian casualty.

"Civilian casualities aren't ideal".....but....and that is what happens all over the world with our governments and others. If shit is about and innocent people get in the way they're going to die. The "but"...our government officials are saying it too, "Yes we're going to kill civilians and we hate it BUT we are trying to get Bin and all his nasty boys." People will die like always..... a "terrorist" may or may not be found and another one will come along in his or her place. I guess we just have to face the facts huh, some folks are gonna die. Today, tomorrow and always. Goddammit it is like doomsday. *packs more canned goods down into the bunker*
