Sacramento, CA - Monday was a big day for both Justin Wayne Beebe, 20, and his wife. It was the first day she was going to be returning to work after her maternity leave and Justin's first time with his 2-month-old infant daughter to care for.
Sometime after she left, the baby became fussy and Beebe had no clue what to do to make the child "shut up". Guess he should have taken some notes for the first two months the baby was here, eh? Well, at least he did what any normal father would do in such a case and placed a phone call to the baby's mother. Ya know, because mother knows best and surely she could make the baby shut up right?
Unfortunately, that call was placed a little too late as he decided to try his own method of infant care first and inflicted such a severe beating to the baby that police say he left her for death. Not only did he inflict injuries that caused immense bruising to her forehead, face, chest, back, and left ankle but his charges were recently upgraded because of the intense injury to her groin due to a sexual assault.
When the woman returned home, she found the baby asleep in a swing and began to question what happened to her little girl. Justin couldn't keep his stories straight and she decided to take the child to a hospital to seek medical attention. Justin refused to let her to leave insisting that the police would be called. The woman tried to leave the apartment several times only to receive her own beating by Beebe which caused injuries to her upper torso and face.
When the mother was finally allowed to take her baby to get help, the infant had to be flown to UC Davis Medical Center from Lodi Hospital due to the extent of her injuries. Her mother was treated for her injuries and released from the Lodi Hospital, but not after Beebe's nightmare became reality and the police were phoned.
When police arrived at the residence to have a word with Beebe, he wouldn't comply with the authorities and locked himself into the home. Eventually, the police were able to open the door wide enough to release a K-9 officer to subdue him and place him into custody.
Beebe has being charged with child cruelty with great injury, domestic violence, false imprisonment, violation of a domestic court order, an outstanding hit and run traffic warrant, and just recently torture was added along with lewd and lascivious conduct with a child under the age of 14.
The baby was able to return home on Thursday after upgrading from critical to stable condition with her mother. Upon their arrival to the home, it was found to have been burglarized. Anyone with any information regarding the burglary to their home has been asked to call the Lodi Police Department at (209) 333-6727 or Crime Stoppers at (209) 333-6771.
