Erica Bailey left her kid alone, bound and gagged

DAYTON, Ohio -- Dayton police said a local woman bound and gagged her 3-year-old daughter, locked her in a bedroom, and left her home alone.

Erica Bailey is now in the Montgomery County Jail charged with child endangering, kidnapping and abduction.

According to police, Bailey tied her daughter up, gagged her with a sock, locked her in a bedroom and left the apartment.

Police said the child's grandmother stopped to visit at the West Stewart Street apartment Thursday and discovered the child. The grandmother untied the little girl and called 9-11.

According to detectives, the mother claimed this was punishment for fighting with another sibling and taking snack food out of the refrigerator.

The case is still under investigation. The child is now in the custody of her grandmother.

Unless she was off to the hairdresser there is no reason for this shit, and apparently she wasn't.
I hope CPS doesn't get all lovely dovey and try giving her the child back.

I am assuming she thought that being a mom meant putting the child on a shelf when she was done and bored with it... but when the won't stay neatly on that shelf like a cute little doll... do the next best thing! DUCT TAPE!

And here I thought my plan of locking my future kids in my parrot's cage was a good one. I've got nothing on this lady. :)

A judge in Dayton held nothing back Thursday as she sentenced a woman to prison for unbelievable abuse against her 2-year-old daughter.

The judge got angry when the woman's defense attorney shifted some blame away from Erica Bailey, who admitted tying up and gagging her child.

Erica Bailey told the court, "I really do apologize. I just had a meltdown, a lot of stress. Everything is on my shoulders. I have no support."

The judge said she did not accept that excuse. She also responded when Bailey's attorney shifted blame on the Montgomery County Children's Services Board. Judge Huffman said, "This is not a failure of the system because the system isn't responsible for your children, you are."

The judge then sentenced Bailey to three years in prison.

The little girl was not hurt. She remains in the custody of relatives.

Nice to see a prison sentence from the get and a child who actually didn't get hurt. Well, other than emotional pain. Thank God for Grandmas in this world.

What about the other child? I wonder how she would of felt if someone else had come to the home and it dint end so well....3 years old how could someone do that...I mean I would love to duct tape my 3 year old back talking mouth sometimes but i would never do it because I know it is WRONG!!!
