This case is local to me so it's on the news CONSTANTLY. I was barely holding it together this morning when they read the letter Dylan wrote to her, about how she would go home soon and God would keep her safe. I want this bastard to fry, and I might just hop in the car so I can watch and while I watch his spirit being sent to hell.

Duncan stalked preschool

SPOKANE, Wash. – Before Joseph Edward Duncan III killed and sexually assaulted members of an Idaho family in 2005, he stalked a preschool on Spokane’s South Hill, authorities said.

Duncan used a Global Positioning System device to electronically record the coordinates of Kindermusik, a private music school, a federal death-penalty hearing was told Wednesday in Boise, Idaho.

Ruth Michaelis, who teaches music and movement to 5- to 7-year-olds at the school, was surprised to learn that Duncan had recorded the exact location of the business on his GPS. The school currently has 300 children, ranging from infants to 7-year-olds.

“Oh, that’s awful,” Michaelis said.

After FBI agents arrested Duncan in 2005, they seized a vast collection of electronic gadgets, including a wireless laptop computer, digital cameras and a GPS device, with its memory intact.

It appeared from the federal case that Duncan was using the GPS to keep track of locations where he’d spotted children. He has confessed to spending days stalking the home of Shasta and Dylan Groene before killing their family and abducting them.

I do NOT understand why they even are allowing this farce to continue. Kill the fucker already. Since he has said that NO mitigating factors are going to be presented in this portion of the trial, how, under the law, can the jury return any other penalty??

I totally agree, just kill this fucker, and be done with it.
I just wish it wasn't any easy way, he should at least get to be tortured and I want him to be scared. Really scared.

Duncan, who has a long criminal past, was facing another potential prison term for allegedly molesting a little boy in Minnesota when he decided to jump bail and come to Idaho, U.S. Attorney Tom Moss said. Before making that decision, he weighed the pros and cons of “living out his fantasy” on a computer spreadsheet, Moss said.

Revenge on society, sexual gratification and having “no more cares” were all considered “pros” on Duncan’s list, Moss said. Also listed was, “I could go to prison for the rest of my life and never know what could have been,” the prosecutor said.

The cons? “I may eventually be found out,” Moss said.

His actions were no "spur of the moment" thing, they were thought out and planned. He knew seemed to think he would get "life". Going to prison would only be minor compared to death for him. He has already been found out.

Now he gets additional "revenge on society" by knowing we are hearing it all again... and he gets to re-live what he considers his "greatest accomplishments".
