We appreciate the updates! Often things never make it into the news after the initial arrest. It's good to know that Hope has you on her side.

No I haven't. My Grandpa has put in a request for visitation with them but I think they are waiting until after the trial is over. I would think thats the best because I wouldn't want anyone pressuring them to say anything but the truth.. not that grandpa would.. just saying :]

I hear that they are with the man that is in the process of adopting Shawn. I pray that they are doing well also.

Hey guys. Sorry that I disappeared off here for a quick second. Kim OFFICIALLY goes to court on Monday. The witness list includes 81 people and the trial will last probably all week. Even her own mother is testifying against her. OUCHHH.

Amy- Thanks so much for having the courage to post here with us. A lot of us follow the cases through to the end, usually bitching about the sentences given. I hope that's not the case this time. Your little sister was gorgeous. You are a great big sister and voice for Hope, at a time when others aren't. ((hugs to you)) as the trial starts.

thanks :] i am so glad that the trial is finally here.
it has been forever and the trial date has changed at least 7 or 8 times i think!!
kim tried to enter plea deals up to 6 years.. obviously they were denied...

part of our family has refused to testify either way.. but i have persuaded some to testify what they know (against her)... and every little bit helps.

there are several expert witnesses and the detectives have been working long shifts. her myspace, and 2 cell phone records have been placed on the witness list as well as her jail house phone calls.

I wish they would have went after the death penalty. I think she should be frying right beside Casey Anthony.

Pray pray pray!! I will try to make sure I get on here at some point next week...
but i will for sure post what she got for sentencing by friday... thanks for all of the prayers and support. You guys have been a lot of help especially when our family is torn about the situation.

some other information I feel like the common person needs to know about whats going on... My dad didn't get a phone call about Hope's death.. He turned on the tv Sunday evening and had to see it on the evening news.. AND KIM planned the funeral. She was the "guardian" at the time of death.. Hope died on Sunday and on Thursday she had already planned the funeral. The family hadn't even had time to think about the tradegy that had happened. It was a very over the top funeral.. probably the most ridiculous one I had ever been to. Kim had only had Hope for the past 10 months approximately.. and she had posters of her and Hope together that said "Mommy's little girl". The body hadn't been released so it was basically a memorial.. I sat in the front row to try to be there for my dad. He might have been in jail but he is really facing a lot in the last couple months. He got out of jail July 2nd. Kim wouldn't let him see Hope at all probably because she forced Hope and Dexter to call her mommy. July 20th he lost Hope forever. Shawn was adopted while he was in jail and now Dexter is too.. So when you look at it like that.. he has lost Hope, Shawn, Dexter and Kim.. all he has left is me and my brother Mike. Anyway-- sorry 19 and not the best academic writer!! At the funeral, I was in the front row with Helen [Hope's Mom], my dad, and my grandpa. As the ceremony started, the pastor announced that Kim and Chad were Hope's parents... As far as I am concerned, you only have one father and one mother. I was SHOCKED at this. My tears immediately stopped and I was filled with RAGE. Kim not only killed Hope but she also put out false obituaries to the newspaper AND had this announced at the funeral.. if that's not ridiculously enough, we received a phone call from Violet Cook [who is my grandpa's EX wife] telling us about when hope was getting buried. We called my grandpa and dad's house and told them. They said we would just meet at the church and drive over together. The next day, Kim found out Dad knew when the funeral was and called and got the time moved up. My dad found out and when he arrived at the grieve site, everyone ran and the casket had already been sealed and loaded into the ground. He hadn't seen her since prior to going to prison and they took away his last chance in this world to see her even in death. Kim even refused to allow her to be buried in the family plot. My grandpa was devastated by this.

I would also like to explain a little bit about the family tree here. My dad has children with three women. Mike and Kim have the same Mom.. then there's me by my mom.. Then Shawn, Dexter and Hope with Helen.

Being involved with this family on both sides I feel like I must responde.
First of all Kim did not plan Hope Dawn's funeral. She was in no condition to handle it. It was handle by the families , church with guildance from the funeral home. Did you know it took a court order to get Hope Dawn's body? You can check with the families attorney James Thomas in Eaton , Ohio
The time frame for the funeral was normal for any death. I was at the funeral why did you think it was over the top /rudiculous? Kim had nothing to do with the picture boards. They were put together by her sister-in-law at the suggestion of the funeral home. As this is normal at funeral now.Yes Hope Dawn and Dexter called Kim mom. She did NOT make them. They called Kim's mom and dad ,papaw and yaya . Called Chad's parents grandpa and grandma. Not because anyone made them because that is what they felt they were to them. The only reason that there was a memorial , private viewing than a private service at the cemetary was due to the court order taking longer .The church family already had everything prepared meal arrangement ect. Children service demanded separte visitation times for the children from the rest of the family. Stating it was their rules. Holly was to have no contact with her father , the boys not contact with Helen ect. Other family member had request to not have to be in the presents of other family members. Everyone was told how to request their own visitation with Hope Dawn. IF you want to check that call Barnes Funeral home in Eaton. Also you can ask about what Children service would and would not allow the family to say or write in the paper. Helen and Mike did give up their right to the kids to be adopted. If they were in placement with anyone else they would not have be notified about anything. After the private visitation at the funeral home the casket was closed and was not reopened for the service at the cemetery. So your father even if he had made it on time would not have gotten to view her. The fact of buring Hope Dawn in the family plot. Your grandfather did NOT come forward with it until after another plot had been bought and vaulted. I personally spoke to your grandfather for the family. He said he was not going to be buried there nor was Hope Dawn's grandmother. So Kim did not refuse Kim did not know it was an option until another lots was already bought and vaulted. The funeral time was NEVER changed. You can call the pastor in charge of the grave side service also Barnes or the 45-60 guest. Also Baumbach's restraunt who was preparing the meal for the family and guest after the funeral. As far as Everyone running from the graveside Hope Dawn's sister who was to have no contact with your father was still there when Mike showed up. Whom ever she was with left quickly when they relized it was your father. The only other ppls that were there were the vault man and the township worker who waited for your grandfather and father to leave. And WATCHED AS YOUR GRANDFATHER TOOK A JEWELED CROWNED AND TEDDYBEAR LEFT ON HOPE DAWN'S CASKET BY HER GRANDMOTHER WITH HIM.
Early on in all of the funeral arrangement Kim's best freind at the time agreed to contact the other side of the family and keep them informed. I dont know where the breakdown accured and at this point dont believe it would change anything if we did. I know Chad's parents and Kim's parents bought the lot / vault /casket and paid for the funeral expenses.Either one of the grandparentswould have wanted hard feeling over how Hope Dawn's arrangements were handle. I know they did not want their grandchild buried by children service placed in a potters grave in a cheap casket in a used dress that is why they went for a court order for her body.
I am sorry if I have upset anyone. I know I will have some run on sentence , miss spell word I tend to do that when I get emotional. I feel for all involved in this. God's will be done in this case.

Also as your claim that Kim's foster mother was charged with tampering with evidence. That is totally false. She has not spoken to anyone only Kim's attorney. So please check you fact before you post it on here.These families have been through enough without mistruths being spread. Kim and Chad's families keep to their self and just wants peace. If you want some truth to be told. Kim's parents receives phone calls all hours of the night with threats against their children lives. Hows that ? They really dont have anything in it just trying to do the right thing and threaten weekly. God Bless this family.

Give me a break will you. I both sides of the family. The sister was on here upset about something that happen. I had no idea about this site. Someone else told me about it. I was only hoping to help put some understanding to some of what had happened. I am new to all of this.
Please just give me a break. Kim's and Chad's family either one would have ever come on here and found this site. Thank God. It would really upset them. The sister and some of the family had questions and concerns that appears to need answered. I was just trying to help.

Sweetie, you can sugar coat it however you want. There are 81 witnesses going to testify against Kimberly. My father found out his baby girl had died watching THE NEWS. How are you going to cover that one up? Kimberly ran away when dad got to the grave site because it is CALLED HER CONSCIENCE!

They would be upset to learn the truth. It would hurt them to lay it all out infront of them. My father and Helen were treated like CRAP at that funeral. They walked in to see a poster board full of Mommys Little Girl? That is bullshit.

There are witnesses that will tell the court about the beatings that occurred when Hope & Dexter would ask about their parents.

They aren't important as to the case, no. But my father did not get to pay his respects to Hope at all. He learned about her death the next day after work by watching the news!

Yes she did. I have been talking to the detectives weekly since August. I am sorry that Chad's family has to go through this. He didn't know he was marrying a psychopath. She has choked him with an extension cord. She has thrown Hope in the shower with all her clothes on and made her sit sopping wet and eat her nasty dinner. Sept 28, 2009. It will be the week of justice.

Thank you. I do not post just my opinion on here. I have strong connections with the case. I have been there when witnesses have given their statements. I know the facts. They are just starting to get scared. I understand that because I would be scared if I had killed someone. They can come on here and type til their fingers are sore. It does not change the facts. :]

Hope had one father and one mother. As as God bless her soul, she is not with us anymore. Hope was alone with Kimberly at the time of her death blow. I have said it once, I will say it again; The TRUTH will come out. You really need to check your facts. I guess they will be checked for you during court.

She is facing two counts of first degree murder. She has at least 81 witnesses against her. && She is so DUMB that she is going to testify also. I hope the lawyers GRILL her. I am sure the truth will come out. I feel at ease with the case. I know that they have enough information that I can relax until September.

July 20th will be one year. I just pray that EVERYONE involved can reflect. I do not wish ill things on Kimberly's family. I think that they are probably going through more than we are. I can not imagine how disappointed they will be once they see and hear the facts.

The facts are facts. There is no point in all of this drama. Hope was gorgeous!! I am just praying and hoping that Dexter can get over this. When he was taken from Kim's house, he had two black eyes. Someone try to explain that one?

As far as I know, I have not met Chad's parents. I could not find a bad word to say about them. I know, I sat here and watched the news and Jodi Fryman reported that Hope was an alcohol baby. There is a difference between slanderish statements and facts.

I respect that they paid for the funeral. The problem is, she is burried far away from the base of the Cook family which is West Alexandria, OH. We have a family plot around my grandmother that died when my dad was a teenager.

The problem is NOT the funeral. The problem is that Hope is gone, forever. I will not be able to see her until I make it to heaven. Kimberly took Hope away from so many people. I know that we are not the only ones that miss her. I am not trying to fight with you.

I understand where your loyalities lie. I am sure you know where mine do as well.
