CHARLESTON -- Charleston police on Wednesday were searching for a city man wanted on charges that he sexually abused a child.
Jeffrey Thomas Boyd, 46, is wanted on two counts of use of minors in filming sexually explicit conduct, three counts of sexual abuse, one count of abduction and two counts of indecent exposure to a child, according to a release from Charleston police.
Boyd is 5-feet-6 inches tall with brown hair, brown eyes and thin build. His last known residence was on the city's West Side, the release said.
Boyd is aware that he is being sought by the police. However, he has so far successfully evaded arrest, according to the release.
"According to sources close to Boyd,
he is possibly suicidal and should be considered a danger to himself and others," the release said.
