A man who has been the subject of a North Middleton Township. police investigation since May turned himself in Tuesday, police say. Robert Eugene Miller Sr., 68, formerly of the 100 block of Darr Avenue, faces sexual assault charges in connection to sexual abuse to children alleged to have occurred between January 1, 2001, and June.
Cumberland County Children and Youth officials called police about Miller on May 30, Chief Jeffrey Rudolph said. "This was an ongoing investigation," he said.
Miller came in on Tuesday. Police charged him with criminal attempt to commit statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, institutional sexual assault, indecent assault and unlawful contact with a minor.
Miller's preliminary hearing before District Judge Paula Coreal will be at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 27. He is free on $10,000 unsecured bail.
