An emotionally disturbed Brooklyn woman was charged Tuesday with torturing her boyfriend to death by nailing him to a chair and then cutting his throat, police said.
Raquel Glenn,53, duct-taped a plastic bag over Chiwa Chan's head and used a nail gun to fasten him to a chair in their Bensonhurst home shortly before 10:30p.m. Monday, police said.
Glenn stabbed him in the chest several times with a kitchen knife before slicing his neck, police said.
She then called 911 and was sitting calmly on the couch when officers arrived, police said.
Glenn, who has a long history of mental problems, later told investigators that she was hearing voices and was told to kill her 45-year-old boyfriend by "two men of Asian descent," according to Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly.
Glenn and Chan - who met in a hospital psychiatric ward two years ago, according to an NYPD source - had lived uneventfully in a W. Seventh St. apartment, stunned neighbors said.
Glenn was charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon, officials said. An NYPD source said she would be given a mental evaluation.
