If you've ever known a flight attendant, you've heard about the absolute hell their job can be. You hear about the inconsiderate parents who allow their child to repeatedly kick the seat in front of them until you're forced to intervene, or the ones who hand you a dirty diaper like you've gone from flight attendant to nanny; you hear about the men who feel as though you're there for entertainment, commenting on your rack or "accidentally" touching your ass as you make your way down the narrow isles. But, in my experience as the best friend of a flight attendant, nothing's as bad as the princess - the entitled bitch who views you as a servant and figures she paid enough for her seat to own you for the duration of the flight.
Well, it sounds like Mrs. Osteen, uppity wife of TV Evangelist and millionaire, Joel Osteen, was just this type of woman. Upon entering the plane, she threw a fucking FIT because there was some liquid on the arm of her first-class seat. Grab a napkin, maybe? That's what she claims she was doing when she pushed and elbowed Sharon Brown, the flight's head attendant, on her way to what appeared to be the cockpit. The FAA agreed and, not only was her family asked to leave the flight, she was slapped with a $3,000 fine for interfering with the flight crew.
Still, it should have ended there. Or, if the assault was THAT bad, she should have filed a police report. But Ms. Brown claims that she's been forced into civil court due to the airlines failure to inform police.
People, she's suing for 10% of Mrs. Osteen's net worth, PLUS medical and counseling costs, claiming she's endured a "loss of faith", among other things. Can you believe it?
Mrs. Osteen might be an intolerable bitch, but Ms. Brown is a gold-digger, I'm afraid.Brown wants an apology and punitive damages amounting to 10 percent of Victoria Osteen's net worth as part of her suit.
"They will say this is about money. But that is the only remedy a jury can offer," McKamie said.
McKamie said Brown, who had undergone reconstructive surgery before the incident on her breasts due to illness, was injured when she was hit on her chest. Brown also suffers from anxiety because of the incident, and her faith was affected, her attorney said. Brown is also suing Victoria Osteen for medical expenses for counseling.
But Hardin told jurors there is no evidence Brown sustained any injuries, including claims she now suffers from hemorrhoids.
