A 48-year-old Sheboygan man was charged Monday for allegedly exposing himself to two teenage girls at a city park.
Mark A. Verrette, of 1420 Erie Ave., could face up to four years in prison if convicted of misdemeanor lewd and lascivious behavior and bail jumping. Verrette was drinking with friends at Workers Water Street Park about 7 p.m. Saturday when the incident allegedly occurred, a criminal complaint said.
According to the complaint:
Two 15-year-old girls were at the park playing in the water fountain and listening to music when Verrette began yelling at them from about 20 feet away. The girls said he yelled, “Hey, pretty ladies,” and invited them to come by him to smoke and drink.
Verrette then unzipped his pants and exposed himself to the girls for 10 to 20 seconds. Responding officers found Verrette at the park based on the girls’ description and arrested him.
Verrette’s friends said he had been urinating on a flower bed, and when told of that report Verrette told officers, “Okay, you got me. I’m drunk and I’m stupid.”
