Obese mom sits on her kid.

An obese Spartanburg woman faces child neglect charges and has lost custody of her children after police say they saw her sitting on her 9-year old son. But the mother says there is more to the story.

23-year old Donyell Moore was arrested Tuesday night following a month-long investigation by Spartanburg Public Safety. The incident occurred on June 11th. Officers responded to a call from Moore’s home at 345 Bethlehem Drive. They saw her 9-year old son outside the apartment. The boy told officers his mother “said she wasn’t going to feed him” and he had not eaten since the previous night. Police say Moore came out of the apartment in a rage, yelling at the boy. Police say when the boy sat on the ground and started crying, Moore twisted his arm trying to pull him up, and then sat on him with “all of her body weight on his chest”. They say the boy was screaming and crying for her to get off of him. Officers pulled Moore off of her son.

Moore told police she weighs 390 pounds.

Police say the boy’s 5-year old brother told officers all he had to eat that day was a banana. Officers went into the apartment and say they found very little food in the cabinets and refrigerator. Police called Department of Social Services and placed the boys in emergency protective custody. Moore was arrested Tuesday night and charged with child neglect. She was released from jail Thursday morning on $2,000 bond.

That means she weighs at least 450.

I think one of her tits alone is about 300 pounds.

You see that area of dirt, Lucy? Bet the heifer went grazing after all the food in the house was gone.

More shocking then anything is that a woman this gross and one that clearly doesn't give a shit about herself can have two kids, showing that some guys out there really have no shame

They might want to check this woman for other births....
It looks like she might have snacked on a couple of her own.

    Money for Meds

This whole video really disgusted me, but saying she does not have the money for her child's medication when she clearly had the money for those long fake fingernails. How does a parent decide that a manicure is a priority over medication and food?
I see this alot and it just really pisses me off. I raise 3 children alone and sometimes you do have to sacrifice (for my children that means having to play on the computer and xbox instead of the WII they don't have) but there where times right after my divorce that I did have to budget and things like prescription medicine could really hurt us for a while, but my children never went without, and I NEVER had a manicure instead.
This woman should not have her children, even if every word she said on that video is true, just that she would let a child go without medicine shows that she is unfit to raise them!

I just realized that she is 23 and the child is 9. She started early and has probably always been on public assistance. Those tears are probably because now she is going to have to work her fat ass.

I noticed those fake claws too. It is also evident to me that she hasn't missed any of her meals. Bah...

Okay I have to speak up on this...

1.) I totally agree... "I am poor" does not mean you go get your nails done. Period. I don't care of they were a fucking gift, that money (even a gift) should go towards the household. Yes, its nice to do something for yourself now and again, but lets be reasonable here. Nails is not reasonable. I just had to return minor "necessities" and work clothing to feed the family because I overspent my budget. Did I return the food? No, but I did return the razors, and the belt for work, and the shirt that I just didn't need. Apparently not everyone is of the same belief that I am.

2.) Now this isn't meant to offend other people on this site, however, please stop making fun of the larger women we see. To be honest, I am 225lbs, or there about. I have been 225lbs for various reasons and that is the weight I started my pregnancy with Nadezdha at. To me, 225 and 3whatever isn't that big of a leap. Especially when it was only 10 years ago I was about 160. We don't know why she's 300+ pounds, but it isn't always because of food and eating.

3.) "We haven't eaten all day"... first of all at 9yrs old he can make himself a sandwich/bowl of cereal/etc. Even the 5yr old can do that. Secondly, there were days my kids would tell my parents that they hadn't eaten, or 'all we got was...' and my parents believed them! That burned me up! Especially when the girls were always fed even if it meant I didn't eat (which helps make a weight problem worse btw). Also, "Little food" and "no food"... if she was on public assistance, then she probably got 400$ a month for food, if that. That is what a family of 5 gets with a mother being pregnant in Michigan. So... in todays economy and the cost of groceries.... well hopefully you guys really think on that.

I don't know about "sitting" on him, she does make a good point. Had she done her whole weight, that little boy would need medical attention.

There have been times when friends have wanted me to go out and I was broke. When they offered to loan me money, I would tell them that if I had any money, the last thing I would do is piss it away at a bar. Seriously, if I was that broke, chances are that something suffered so I could have money for food and any money I got, loan or otherwise, could be better spent than at a bar.

I agree with you, completely. That is what responsible parents do. My brother has lent me money, but instead of buying stuff for myself (like work clothing I desperately need), it is going to pay for things for the kids. Just something to keep us from going under financially. We didn't expect the economy to hit us so hard, even as bad as it is in Michigan. However even from the last month when I went grocery shopping prices have almost seemed to have doubled. I was ill when I saw milk at $4.00 a gallon. I remember when my mom could give me $3.00 and I could get milk and bread and still have money for candy! People have offered to give me a few dollars here and there at work, knowing I support my whole family on my own. However I would rather use that for gas money, etc.

I am going to play Devil's Advocate here and if you groan me, so be it. I often wonder why so many people online complain about trying to make ends meet, sacrificing other things for food, etc. and yet they are ONLINE which obviously means they have a computer and have an internet connection. Unless you're jacking the wi-fi from a neighbor and you got the computer from Freecycle, there's $10-$40 bucks a month right there AND a computer to sell which is an asset.

To me, having a computer and internet connection is a luxury...just like getting your nails done.

I hear where you are coming from, however this woman's weight is being made fun of because she "sat on her kid." Remember, it is a public shaming site and nothing is directed toward large women in general. If I were to starve my kid, rape a child, sodomize a dog, etc. I would expect to be made fun of.
IMO, you do something fucked up, it doesn't matter why she is big, just that she is.

I do agree with your other points though.

Well they could have neighbors like James Crise. He lets the whole neighborhood into his mom's house at all hours of the night to use his computers.

In case you may have missed some of my posts that explain my situation, my brother, who makes a ridiculous amount of money, bought me the laptop a year ago, God love him! Until then, I did not own a computer. I am a full-time university student and a single mom so I try to do some courses online rather than all of them on campus. That way, I can be here with my kids and I save more on childcare than what the internet service costs. I could just use the net for school only but what's the big deal if I hit a few forums like this or whatever? I am paying for the connection and rarely go out or anything so why not use it for entertainment as well (since I have no social life besides)?

I knew this was gonna eventually come up, so I will answer in an attempt to exonerate myself. My internet is $40 a month. Yes that is alot. The computer I got for free from Roberts mom, and it is so old it isn't worth shit. I know, I've tried to sell it. It crashes constantly, and runs slow. The only thing I can say in my defense is that I got the internet in February bacause I went on bedrest, and I was dying of boredom. I am all alone in a town where I know no one, and I am in the house for 12 hours a day by myself. I don't get section 8, I pay my own bills and my child support, no nails, hair is attrocious, (roots like u wouldn't believe!) and only get medical throught the state. Thats it. So I figure since I never eat out, or do anything fun, or even rent movies, much less watch them at the theatre I deserve the internet.

Besides, do you really want Morbid to have to front page me? "Pregnant woman goes nuts in Oregon, kills boyfriend with a computer monitor." I don't think you do.

Getting clowned on, whether it be for weight, looks or stupid actions, goes with the territory here at Dreamin' Demon. All these folks have either done something criminal or stupid, that makes them deserving.

Whatever names we call these idiots, is no reflection on any of our members here. I'm far from skinny myself, but I'm still going to call a child abuser a fat, fugly bastard.

I hope you understand Immortal. This has nothing to do with anyone but criminals and dumb fucks.

Computer not always such a big luxury

I have a computer, but that doesn't mean it's a mega-expensive model. My printer is black and white, not color. My being online is about $20/mo and it means I can keep in touch with faraway friends and make new ones without having to drive my car around to meetings (car 16 years old BTW). I also write on my computer, a major source of free entertainment and perhaps someday $. I can send messages on my computer and avoid using 42-cent stamps. I keep up with the news on it, which is good because I don't have cable.

So, a cheap computer and an internet connection makes me at least break even with savings on other things. I don't see it necessarily as an obvious indulgence such a fake plastic claws.

Making ends meet is one thing, struggling as the prices of things are rising is another. What I could easily afford when I purchased my computer and what I can now are two entirely different things. As we have all seen the cost of gas explode over the last year, that rising cost has been passed on to the food and clothing industry.

If I were to go out and buy a computer right now, even though my house is stocked with food, then yes shame on me. When I purchased my laptop 6 months ago ($300.00 clearance), and my house was stocked with food and I had money to spare, then there is nothing for me to even feel I need to justify. I work very hard for what we have, and before I buy myself even a pair of $3.00 clearance work pants everything else needs to be provided for my kids first. That means, milk, bread, clothing, shoes, etc.

Also look at it this way. $40.00 for internet, is a hell of a lot cheaper than the standard family pays even for a dinner out, let alone a single or married couple going out. We don't do that, for us our very few "Luxuries" is the internet and we even cut back on that service since we purchased our new home. Everyone has had to tighten their belts in one way or another, and learning to do that more and more every day is something we all will eventually need to cope with.

However, nails, when there is no food in the house and the kids have no medication... again, just an example of mixed up priorities.

I'm not poor and my bills are paid and I have a decent vehicle and I am gonna go out later and spend tons of money at a bar.

I have a freaking brand new laptop and I have a super fast internet connection AND I got a pedicure yesterday.

I ain't gonna apologize for any of it because I work for my money and I only take on what I can and still feel comfortable with.

But when you openly criticize someone for what YOU consider an indulgence while using something that someone ELSE considers an indulgence, you are inviting criticism on yourself. Just saying.

Everyone has the little things in life that make them feel better. An internet connection and some time spent online is our thing. Fake fingernails may be the one thing that makes an obese, unattractive, poor mother of children with behavioral disorders feel better. Who knows, this may have been a one time thing for her.

Plus, to me, even though she doesn't seem like the sharpest tool in the shed, she seemed genuinely hurt that she did not have her kids.

You find a flaw and pick it to death. It is what it is. It's not a personal attack on you. Even if it were who the fuck are these people to you? You can wear a MOO MOO and house slippers 24/7 for all I care. I would tell ya that you look like a hot mess but not feel any different towards you. On the other hand, if you mistreat your babies or your fellow peeps I'm gonna find every fucking weak spot in your armor and take advantage of it. I would expect no less in return. Take it for what it is.

I've been so poor that I know fabric softener makes good a decent hair conditioner, how to make some mean biscuits from scratch and what it's like to always have second hand everything. I can appreciate struggle...I've been there and it blows. It's not an excuse for bad parenting and I'll be damn if some trashy cunt bag who beats on her babies is going to change my mind.

But when you openly criticize someone for what YOU consider an indulgence while using something that someone ELSE considers an indulgence, you are inviting criticism on yourself. Just saying.

The criticism came from the fact that her child was going with out a much needed medication while she indulged in her nails. She stated he had tried to run away several times that day from uncontrolled behavior problems he is having because she can't afford his medicine. The post I criticized her on, I stated I knew what it was like to struggle after my divorce, and at that time I did not have Internet, but when life started getting better, it was one of the first indulgences I bought for my family. However even if I was struggling still that way today and paying for Internet service i do not think it is an invitation to criticize unless my children where being neglected also(no medication, food, etc.) .

This is a crazy cluster fuck sentence.

It's like If you knew that I knew that he knew that you know she knows then we wouldn't be having a conversation about knowing things she knew. :whistle2:

    Thanks. I needed a giggle.

Seriously, her nails are ugly and ghetto, but we don't know the circumstances of why she has them.

Plus we don't know that she didn't get them before she ran out of meds. he may have just run out that day.

Whatever. I just refuse to hate on her for her fingernails. I'd rather hate on her for sitting her big ass on a 9 year old.

Sorry about that. I don't have my meds. I got a pedicure yesterday instead.

We were so incredibly poor growing up that my mom would ask us to bring the plastic bags home from our school lunches so she could wash them out for the next day. I was so poor when I first had my daughter that I had my electricity turned off and had to go to the police station in the middle of the night with my newborn in tow to beg them to turn it back on. I did not have a computer until 2000 when I got a bonus at work for being there for 5 years. I was not dissing anyone here. I love you all. I do think the internet is a luxury and is not a necessity like electricity, water, and food. I would give it up in a heartbeat if it meant an extra two bags of groceries each month if my kid was hungry. But that's me. At my old job, we participated in a "Christmas Connection" charity drive and collected items on a wish list for a needy family. A co-worker and I volunteered to deliver the items and drove up to a brand new double wide trailer in a nice trailer park. When we knocked on the door, the lady's brother answered and she was on the phone in the kitchen cooking. She had a nice hairdo and long-ass fake fingernails. The place was nicely furnished. She never got off the phone to even thank us. That shit pissed me off to no end. It's all about priorities.
    YOUR mom.

I will say this. Alot of my friends learned how to do nails to make extra cash or because they were bored. So maybe big girls friend did her nails for free. I'd like to think so. Because if she paid money for those that is just shameful. Not for spending the money, but because they are so tacky!!
