An Austin man jailed last week has admitted to molesting an 11-year-old girl and at least two other children, and there might be other victims, Austin police said Monday.
Leroy Mcafee, 55, was charged with indecency with a child by sexual contact, a second-degree felony, and was being held in the Travis County Jail on Monday with bail set at $40,000. He was also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, with bail set at $6,000.
According to an arrest affidavit, Mcafee knew the 11-year-old, who was at his home Wednesday. The girl told police she had fallen asleep in a bedroom and awoke to Mcafee touching her under her blouse, the affidavit said. The girl told her grandmother what happened the next day, and the grandmother reported the incident to police, the affidavit said.
After police called Mcafee in for questioning, the affidavit said, he admitted to touching the 11-year-old inappropriately and also confessed to having inappropriate contact with two to three other girls. He would not identify those victims or reveal when or where the incidents occurred, telling police he wanted to write about it in his autobiography
, the affidavit said.
