Haylie White Is A Troubled 14 Year Old Girl Who Needs Serious Help!

HOUSTON -- Criminal charges have been filed against the man accused of abducting a 14-year-old from her home in Cypress.

Officials say 33-year-old Jacob West took the girl on Tuesday. He was her next door neighbor.

An Amber Alert was issued Tuesday afternoon for the pair. They are still on the run.

There were red flags all over the place in this situation.

HOUSTON—The parents of a 14-year-old girl who was taken from home by a 33-year-old man said they knew the pair was friendly, but they never expected what happened Tuesday.

An Amber Alert was issued for the girl on Tuesday afternoon after deputies said she left her uncle’s north Harris County home with Jacob West.

“A few people had told us that something was going on,” said her mother. “I said, ‘Oh there’s nothing going on, he treats her like his own daughter.’”

Now she says she wishes she had heeded the warnings. She now believes her teenage daughter had been romantically involved with West, their former neighbor.

“We didn’t want to accept it because he acted like he was a normal human being, that just goes to show you nothing is what it seems to be,” the teen's father said.

The Uncle says Haylie is being manipulated. I still can't believe they missed all the red flags.

An Amber Alert was issued for the girl on Tuesday afternoon.

Deputies say she left her uncle's north Harris County home with 33-year-old Jacob West, investigators said.

“We were up most of the night hoping to get a phone call,” said the girl’s uncle. “The longer it goes, the more concerned we get.”

The uncle says the girl moved into his home on By the Lake Way in Cypress last week. Her family was trying to keep her away from West, who lives next door to her mother.

Thankfully she's been found! Too many questions still in my mind. I hope and pray someone finds out if the dirtbag confessed to having sex with her before the parents moved him into the house.

There is a lot of information in the stories. I hope and pray that I am misunderstanding this situation. I really hope someone takes the time to investigate if the parents knew this dirtbag had molested their daughter BEFORE moving him into their home. If so, I have to question whether it is a good idea to put Haylie back into that home.

He was the neighbor of her mother and Hailey was sent to live with an uncle in an attempt to get her away from neighbor/pedo/abductor/Jacob West; unless I totally read that wrong.

The problem is they sent Haylie to live with the uncle to get her away from him. Why would they then move him in after the wife kicked him out for sleeping with Haylie?

Wait. Haylie lived with her mother and West was their next door neighbor. Haylie's mom found out what was going on and moved her daughter, Haylie, to live with her uncle to keep her away from West. West and Haylie kept in communication and West went and got her and they took off.

Who are you referring to when you say they "then moved him in"?

I see what you're sayin @BreakTheSilence. It was confusing because it's in one of the articles but not in any of the quotes above. It does make you wonder if her family knew they had been caught by the police having sex or if they just thought his wife kicked him out and he needed a place to stay. I wonder if the wife kicked him out because she found out about him and the girl? And if so, why didn't she tell the girl's family?

Hopefully they had no clue what was going on. If there was any inkling that he had been inappropriate with her and they let him stay then they need to have their asses beat.

We were friends, and he treated her like a daughter at first; he’s got two kids of his own, he treated her like a daughter,” she said.

A week before the Amber Alert went out the girl’s grandmother called police when she disappeared the first time. A Harris County Sheriff’s deputy found the pair and West confessed to having sex with the girl, the mother said.

“The officers had a confession—why he didn’t go to jail that day? I have no idea,” she said.

But when West’s wife kicked him out of their home the girl’s family let him stay with them. And that’s when the girl and West left.

From what I am reading, he had been caught with Haylie a week before the Amber Alert. This dirtbag confessed to the Sheriff that he had sex with Haylie. At some point wife kicks him out and her parents let him move in.

Sorry I wasn't very clear on this in my original post.
