Three young men who said they
duct-taped a teenager and glued him to a chair to make a video for the Internet were charged with kidnapping and child abuse, a Volusia sheriff's spokesman said.
Dustin Ardillo, 19, of Daytona Beach, and
Kevin Wiseman, 18, and
Charles Westenhouser, 21, both of Holly Hill, were arrested and charged with kidnapping and child abuse.
A fourth man,
Steven Delvecchio, 53, who
came to the defense of the 16-year-old, beat Wiseman and Ardillo with a metal level, deputies said. Investigators filed a complaint affidavit with the State Attorney's Office charging Delvecchio with aggravated battery, said sheriff's spokesman Gary Davidson.

On arriving at the home at 4:49 p.m., deputies first met Wiseman, who said he and two of his friends, Ardillo and Westenhouser, came to the 16-year-old's house and asked him if he wanted to participate in a rap contest.
Wiseman said he and his friends decided it would be fun to bind the 16-year-old with duct tape. So the trio
bound the victim's hands and ankles in duct tape and also covered his mouth with tape. Then they
put glue on a chair and sat the teen on the chair to see if he would stick to it, Davidson said.
Wiseman claimed the unidentified 16-year-old was laughing and going along with what was happening while another member of the trio said it all was supposed to be a joke and that they wanted to make a funny video to post on the Internet, Davidson said.
But the 16-year-old had a different story, investigators said.
"The victim said he didn't like it at all being duct-taped and glued to the chair and that it was all done against his will," Davidson said.
The trio also
threatened to buzz cut the younger teen's hair and put him in a dresser, deputies said.
The situation turned bad for the trio when they left to get clippers because Delvecchio of Daytona Beach discovered what was happening, Davidson said.
While they were gone,
the teen hopped his way into the house and start unbinding himself. Deputies saw the 16-year-old still had glue residue on his wrists, ankles and pants.
Delvecchio showed up at the house and became enraged by what had been done to the 16-year-old. Just then, Wiseman showed back up and he and Delvecchio started fighting, Davidson said.
Wiseman left and Delvecchio, armed with a 2-foot metal level, drove off looking for the three. He found them on nearby Valencia Avenue, got out of his car and started angrily swinging the level -- first striking some mailboxes and then hitting Ardillo on the side of the head, Davidson said.
Wiseman then threw a flashlight at Delvecchio and hit him in the head. As the fight continued, Delvecchio struck Wiseman with the level and also choked him while the two were rolling around on the ground. When it was all over, Wiseman had scrapes on his back, shoulder, elbow and face, and Delvecchio had a cut to the side of his head, Davidson said.
