FREDERICKSBURG, Va. --Fredericksburg police said they have arrested a suspect in an alleged assault and indecent exposure incident at a 7-Eleven.
Three friends were at the store filling up an SUV with gas Saturday morning when the suspect exited the store, verbally challenged the man pumping gas and threw a rock at him, hitting him in the neck, police said.
According to authorities, one of the victim's friends ran toward the suspect, who grabbed a fish from his car and threw it at the man, hitting him in the face. The suspect then threw a beer bottle at the SUV, police said.
The suspect then pulled down his pants and exposed himself to the man he hit with the rock, the man he hit with the fish and their female friend, police said.
A surveillance camera caught the suspect's image inside the store. Police identified him as 21-year-old Marcellus Coleman.
Police obtained warrants charging Coleman with malicious wounding, indecent exposure and destruction of property. He was arrested Sunday.
Police said that while Coleman was being led to a police cruiser in handcuffs, he spit on a man standing nearby. Coleman was charged with simple assault.
