A Caddo Parish woman is spending her 12th wedding anniversary behind bars after being arrested for trying to have her husband killed, the Caddo sheriff's office says.
Lynette Blow, 50, of the 7400 block of Waterwood Drive in Greenwood, was arrested early today at a relative's home in the Lakeview Subdivision.
Blow was booked into Caddo Correctional Center by Detective Michael Escude', who obtained a warrant charging Blow with one count of solicitation to commit murder. Caddo Judge John Mosely set Blow's bond at $1 million.
Blow is accused of soliciting the murder of her husband, Michael, in 2004 and in 2007. The couple married July 3, 1996.
In 2004, Blow met a man socially, developed a relationship with him, asked him to kill her husband for $10,000 or find someone to do the job, then ended all contact with the man after he refused her request, deputies said. In 2007, she made the same request of a former co-worker, also offering him $10,000, deputies said. Neither accepted the offer.
Michael Blow was recently released from an area hospital after he was shot twice during an alleged home invasion on June 14. He and his wife returned home to be confronted by two men inside their house. That case remains under investigation.
