Syracuse, New York (WSYR-TV) - A teaching assistant for handicapped children has been indicted on charges of rape and sexual abuse.
Ronny Febres, 39, is accused of raping a 31-year-old woman in January. The additional sexual abuse charge comes from an incident in October of last year.
According to the police report, Febres, his wife, his alleged victim, and her fiancé were drinking together on the night of January 4. At one point during the night, his accuser said Febres grabbed her by the head, pinned her against a wall, led her into his garage, and forced her into his minivan, where the alleged assault happened.
Febres was suspended from his position as a teaching assistant for handicapped children at the H.W. Smith School in Syracuse after the arrest. He also owns the Liverpool Soccer Academy.
The indictment was filed Wednesday.
