The first shooting was justified but like @gee said, I can't stand behind an officer who couldn't subdue a one armed man in a wheelchair without shooting him. Why couldn't he simply grab the mans arm? If using his gun was absolutely necessary, why not aim for an area that isn't going to kill him?
Years ago when hubby and I were teens we lived in an apartment directly under a crazy lady. One day she intentionally flooded her unit and water started pouring down our walls. There was a roof like overhang between her unit and ours so hubby crawled up there and looked through the window. The crazy bitch was standing in the bathroom, butt nekkid, showerhead in hand, watering the floor. Hubby pounded on the window and asked WTF she was doing and she said she was waiting for her 3 husbands to show up for a party. The cops were called and 4 officers responded. Apparently when they walked into her apartment she was holding a butcher knife. She lunged for the officer closest to her and another officer fired his gun, once...and struck her in the side. She survived to live another crazy day as did the officer. Why couldn't the officer in this story do the same thing? I just don't get it.
