Tough guy Gerald Folker beats his g/f for a week.

A Volusia County woman said she was beaten over several days last week by her live-in boyfriend but was too scared to call for help until Saturday.

Officials arrested 43-year-old Gerald Folker at the couple's home near New Smyrna Beach.

Deputies said the the victim told them Folker threw her into a bathtub, slammed her against a wall, hit her in the head with her own cane and kicked and stomped on her legs.

Authorities said when Folker apparently threw a beer at her Saturday, the victim called for help, and responding deputies said they saw visible evidence of cuts and bruises on her body.

Folker is charged with battery and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
