An argument that started over a bag of Cheetos ended with a knife in a man’s chest.
David L. Scott, 49, now faces a second-degree murder charge, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.
He got into a dispute with 42-year-old Roger Wilkes about the Cheetos outside a St. Louis train station Tuesday evening, and allegedly stabbed him in the chest once.
Bike patrol officers chased Scott for a few blocks before catching up to him and arresting him. The knife was recovered at the scene of the stabbing.
Wilkes was rushed to a local hospital, where he died later.
Cops initially believed both men were homeless, but later found St. Louis addresses for both.
Scott was charged Wednesday with second-degree murder and armed criminal action.
He has an extensive criminal history that includes assault, burglary and the robbing of a post office,
