Matthew Pare, Matthew Simmons steal X-Ray machine, put it on Craigslist.

Two Volusia County men were arrested Tuesday in a Craigslist sting after sheriff's investigators said they stole a huge dental X-ray machine.

Matthew Pare, 25, and Matthew Simmons, 26, are facing charges of grand theft and dealing in stolen property.

Investigators said the men stole the machine from a dental office in Deltona last month, and then put it up for sale on Craigslist.

The victim had been searching the internet to see if the machine would turn up and found the listing.

Undercover agents posed as potential buyers and after checking the serial number on the machine to confirm it was the stolen unit the duo was arrested, according to a news release.

The machine is valued at $30,000. Pare and Simmons were asking $20,000 for the unit.

Wow, what a couple of winners. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that they are, in some capacity, current or former employees. A dental x-ray machine is no small piece of equipment...
