A West Palm Beach man suspected of fatally stabbing his older brother more than 65 times was arrested in Sweetwater late Thursday night, police said.

Brandin Anderson Gonsalves, 23, is facing a first-degree murder charge in the death of 25-year-old Gerard Gonsalves, Sweetwater Police said Sunday.

An officer who was on patrol Thursday night spotted Gonsalves suspiciously standing in the city's business district, police said. When the officer asked Gonsalves what he was doing in the area so late when most of the businesses were closed, Gonsalves said he didn't know, police said.

Sweetwater Police said Gonsalves later told the officer: "I am the one you are looking for. I killed my brother."

I'll go out on a limb and speculate that this is just some deranged lunatic that styled himself a "Muslim," but made less than even a trivial effort to actually familiarize himself with the faith.

But you know, from some of the international stories I've read, I'm ready to eat those words. Totally ready.
