SPRING HILL --
A man was arrested Friday morning on two counts of felony domestic battery, one count of misdemeanor battery and one count of child abuse following a fight at his home.
Emmit Riley Jr., 37, of 6472 Grapewood Road, argued and then fought that morning, according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.
Riley grabbed his wife by the hair and neck, choked her and bit her on the finger, deputies said.
Two of the couple's sons witnessed the attack and one of them put Riley in a choke hold and pulled him off his mother, according to an arrest affidavit.
Moments later, Riley grabbed a minor – not identified in the affidavit provided to the media – and put that person in a choke hold while the two were inside the house and again while they were outside, deputies said.
A neighbor witnessed the second altercation and intervened, according to the sheriff's office.
Riley admitted he had battered his wife – to keep her from hitting him – and then attacked someone else in the house two more times, the arresting deputy wrote in his report.
