Jodi England Arrested After Dad ODs On Heroin She Sold Him

Father of woman, 26, rushed to hospital after 'buying heroin from her and overdosing after she INJECTED him'

A 26-year-old woman is in jail after selling heroin to her father, who then overdosed and had to be hospitalised, police say.
Jodi England allegedly sold her father Steve England heroin for $10 at his house in Moscow Mills, Missouri.
He told police from the emergency room that he had done the drug three times that week, and once that day.

Speaking to a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department Detective, Steve England said that he knew his daughter had the drug addiction.
‘He said he knew his daughter was a heroin addict, and he wanted to do heroin too,’ Major Kurt Venneman told CBS St Louis.

According to court documents, Jodi England allowed detectives to search her car. There, Mr Venneman found a red rucksack.
Inside were several syringes and capsules with trace amounts of the drug, CBS St Louis reported.

Jodi England admitted that she sold him the heroin, and that her father had asked her for it repeatedly.
Police said that she also injected her father with the drug.
She was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, as well as marijuana possession, and is being held on a $20,000 cash-only bond.
Her father has since recovered from the overdose[...]

I don't get it, people with addictions know what it is like to be addicted to this kind of shit. WHY would they want to addict their family members?? Especially that mom injecting her daughter, I mean WTF, they know heroin has ruined their life (I don't care how dumb they are or how much they deny it, they KNOW) so why would they ever want to inflict something like that onto one of their loved one? Was she seriously using dad as a cash cow, so she had someone to sell to, so she could make herself some cash or dope?

yeah you are right.
Yeah, It works two ways.
1)A junkie will do their best to convince a newbie to stay away from it. The daily bullshit and sickness is no party. If they cared about anyone, they would really try to discourage it.
2)Anyone that has been around a seriously addicted heroin user see the endless cycle, closed veins with endless pokes and dripping blood, the demonlike withdrawls, the unbelievable lenghts they have to go thru to get more... Nah, they are not going to want to try it.

How this happened is beyond me, either his daughter is not seriously chronic enough to display the ghast, or he is just one of those guys that will never learn. Either way, I suspect she is a relatively inexperienced addict/user, because she would know how much to give w/o OD'ing him if it was his first time. You have to be really careful with that shit.

If dad knew his daughter was selling and doing heroin, and he asks her to sell him some and shoot him up, instead of calling the police on her ass and throwing her in prison to sober the fuck up, he's probably already a junkie in some fashion.

I assumed he didn't know how to shoot heroin so he had is daughter do it, but you may be right. Most junkies wouldn't let someone else hit them unless they had no veins left and had to hit the juggler

Sounds to me like you were right in assuming he didn't know how to do it. In the article it stated that he had done it three times that week and once that day. How bizarre of a comment is that he knew his daughter was a heroin junkie so he wanted to do it too, sounds like my 10 and 8 year old, well if he gets a toy I want one too! He is a grown man ffs! Just makes it sound, to me anyway that he was new to it all...

Heroin makes people extremely selfish. They often won't care about who they're hurting, but want someone to be in the same boat as them, have someone who understands what they deal with, feel the tighter bond when both are fucked up. When someone is high he or she won't be thinking at all of the withdrawals or the mess she made with her life, just how the intensify the high. Most drugs are better with company.

You nailed it perfectly. Addicts love company and most don't realize how miserable their lives are, they think they're the coolest people on the planet. Personally when I used I hated myself, hence the reason I used so the last thing I wanted was someone to feel the way I did. And sharing, oh hell no, that meant less for me.

My guess is that dad OD'd because the heroin was too pure for a newbie, the daughter would have not known if she was a long term user she'd have too much tolerance.
