ATTICA, Ind. (WLFI) - A 61-year-old man was arrested Thursday after he accidentally called a local police chief's cell phone.
Dennis E. Holloway of Attica, Indiana is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance and dealing within 1000 feet of a school.
Around 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Attica Police Chief Robert Bass received a phone call from man wanting to know if he could "hook him up with seven of those yellow ones?" According to police, "yellow ones" refers to dealing pills, usually Hydrocodone or Xanax.
The unidentified man on the phone then told the chief (not realizing who he was talking to) that he had tried to reach him earlier that day unsuccessfully and had to sell ninety k10's to someone in Tippecanoe County.
The chief went along with the caller, saying he would do some checking on the "yellows" and call him back. Chief Bass then confirmed the cell phone number through radio dispatch and learned the call came from Holloway.
Chief Bass called Holloway back and arranged a trade of narcotics at a predetermined location.
Officers Ed Durnil and Kyle Askren located Holloway and found him in possession of the controlled substances

Damn, cops really didn't have to work to catch him, did he? The bugger called THEM, and he didn't go for the low man on the totem pole either.
