A man entered a Bismarck woman’s apartment, then screamed and jumped out a window when she walked out of the shower.
Bismarck Police Sgt. Mark Buschena said a 23-year-old Bismarck woman reported at 12:03 a.m. Sunday that a man had been in her apartment and left running westbound. Officers searched the area and did not locate a man matching the description the woman gave.
The woman said she had been in the shower and heard her doorbell ring. She did not answer the door. Moments later, she got out of the shower and walked down the hallway to the living room. As she was walking into the living room, she came face to face with a white man she did not know.
The man screamed and jumped out of an open window, the woman reported. Buschena said a police report did not say what on what floor the woman lives. The man appeared to have entered the apartment, located in the building at 2707 Hawken St., by removing a window screen and sliding open an unlocked window.
The man was described as 5-feet-4-inches tall, 150 pounds, and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and boots. The woman believed he was in his late 20s or early 30s.
