It’s a healing philosophy that’s also at the core of an experimental treatment being pioneered by Eisenberg and Dream Doctors: clown-assisted in vitro fertilization. “I only visit the patient after the in vitro procedure,” Eisenberg clarifies. The theory is that, much as laughter contributes to healing by reducing sick people’s stress, a little levity could have the same effect on fertility patients. Research backs this up. In a study conducted by Dr. Shevach Friedler of the Assaf Harofeh Medical Centre in Israel, 219 women undergoing IVF were visited by clowns for 15 minutes after embryo implantation. Thirty-six percent of them became pregnant.

There is probably a lot too this. Mental health being in a good spot has all kinds of positive physiologically benefits. I am not saying you will beat cancer by laughing, but it is well documented people heal faster, live longer and get sick less when they are happy. Being able to laugh when you are stressed makes you physically feel better. If you are a miserable asshole you have a higher chance of a heart attack, stroke, high BP or an aneurism.

I would not be surprised at all if contraception and good mental health are linked although clowns tend to piss me off.

I think contraception is definitely linked to stress . I had an aunt who tried for years to get pregnant she finally adopted a baby . I guess that made her stop stressing about having a baby because with no medical ( to conceive ) help she had two babies in three years .

I had a dentist that used to swear when he was working on me. he was all sweaty and shit and telling me to stay still. He was the one weaving. Ever had a dentist use the drill and stop and say SHIT! ? This guy did.

This just seems WRONG on, oh, so many levels. Clowns just seems aggressive to me, not all that funny. Really don't think I'd appreciate clowns while worrying whether or not I'd conceived. Just wrong.
