Police: Heath Howe Ties Up Toddler To Play Video Games

Sarasota deputies have arrested a Sarasota man for tying up a 4-year-old child with rope while he played video games.

According to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, the victim said she was watching television on May 17th, when 27-year-old Heath Howe tied her up with rope and left her in the kitchen while he played what the victim described as violent video games.

The victim remained tied up in the kitchen until her mother and a friend came home from the gym. The mother did nothing to assist the child, but her friend untied the victim. The rope left ligature marks on the girl’s left and right arms and red spots caused by a hemorrhage of blood vessels under the skin.

The girl told deputies that Howe had tied her up on other occasions.

A medical examination showed multiple ligature marks on the girl's left and right arms, consistent injuries from a rope being tied too tightly on the skin, deputies said.

When questioned by deputies, Howe admitted tying up the girl, the sheriff's office said.

Sorry, @swivel. Just from the Howe in his name, I read it as your real name.

When I want to play video games, I distract my four-year-old daughter with something fun that she likes to do, such as coloring, watching her favorite shows, or playing her own video games. I didn't realize that I was doing it wrong!

    Do the math.
