MAIDEN, NC (KTLA) -- A North Carolina pastor is being condemned after a recent sermon in which he called for the extermination of all gays and lesbians by locking them behind an electrified fence until they die off.

A video of the sermon by Pastor Charles L. Worley from Providence Road Baptist Church was record on May 13, according to the church's website.

[...]On the video the pastor says, "I figured a way to get rid of all the lesbians and queers. Build a great, big, large fence -- 150- or 100-mile long -- put all the lesbians in there . . . do the same thing for the queers and the homosexuals, and have that fence electrified so they can’t get out.

“Feed ’em, and you know what?” Worley continues.

“In a few years they’ll die. Do you know why? They can’t reproduce

Worley's sermon, in part, was a response to President Obama's support of gay marriage after Amendment One passed in North Carolina earlier this month.

According to the Providence Road Baptist Church’s website, Worley has served as pastor there since 1976.

Catawba Valley Citizens Against Hate (CVCAH), the group that posted the clip to YouTube, plans to protest Worley and the church on Sunday, May 27.

“To hear this kind of hate being preached, this kind of intolerance, it hurt me, and I’m not even part of the LGBT community,” activist Laura Tipton, who organized the protest, told The NY Daily News

You know, I would have watched the video but the story was enough for me. This is what I can't fucking stand about religious assholes. The two faced bull shit and calling for the death of human beings just because he doesn't agree. How is that Christian like?

The hell I would have raised at that Church would have put them all in prayer mode within 2.2 seconds. I bet after that wonderful christian sermon he walked off the pulpit and fucked one of the church goers and it ain't his wife.

As a Christian I'm more pissed off at non married hetero sexual couples being afforded the same rights as married hetero couples than I am at the notion of gay marriage becoz its all fucking politics anyway. I feel like its disrespectful no to mention just as much a sin, to friggin be with someone 10+ years never married but get to use the term husband and wife. They should be delegated as they are boyfriend and girlfriend. If you recognize a common law marriage of that sort then why can't gay marriage be recognized as the same sort of union as well?

Being a Christian has nothing to do with marriage in the eyes of the law. Legal marriage is different than religious marriage. The church my husband was brought up in does not recognize our marriage. The law, however, does recognize our marriage. More importantly, hubby and I recognize the union ;)

People who use religious ideas to decide who are and who aren't married are not going to lose or gain anything via laws allowing homosexuals to marry (or even allowing "common law" marriages). They can keep right on with their religious nonsense in include or exclude whoever they want. It's not like the law is going to force them to perform the ceremonies or recognize the unions.
