Woman hired to take pictures sexually assaulted

They were looking for work and thought Craigslist would be the best place to land jobs -- never suspecting they'd be walking into the hands of a sexual predator.

This west valley man is accused of using the site to lure his victims -- one of them just 15 years old.

Lee Charles Lubonne appeared very normal, but inside his home investigators found a stash of hard drives, video cameras and sex toys.

Now they fear the victim who came forward this past weekend and the 15-year-old may be two of many.

44-year-old Lee Charles Lubonne met the two victims through Craigslist. The teen thought she was being interviewed for a babysitting job, the 33-year-old photographer for a possible photo shoot.

Both victims ended up at the suspect's Litchfield Park home where they claim they were raped.

"He kind of gave me creepy feeling sometimes. And I always just took it as him being lonely. Because he is a single dad. Never left his house and no one came there," said neighbor Emily Johnson.

Johnson lives next door and snapped photos as the swat team moved in on Sunday. They came to arrest the suspect after the photographer called 911 claiming she had been drugged and raped at the suspect's house.

While investigators were looking into the 33-year-old's claim, they also tied Lubonne to the rape of the 15-year-old babysitter in March.

Inside Lubonne's home, investigators found video recording equipment in some of the rooms. Inside a safe, they discovered more than a dozen hard drives.

"There is a big problem out there," said Sheriff Joe Arpaio. "When you have a big safe filled with this type of equipment then you begin to wonder what is going on."

The suspect also had a duffel bag filled with women's personal items. The sheriff worries they may have been taken from victims.

"We have what we call trophies maybe 20, 25 that he keeps which we are concerned there may be many more women out there that are victims."

The sheriff says it'll take forensics teams a few weeks to go through all the electronics taken from the home.

The suspect is being held without bond.

This scares the crap outta me, I've looked on Craigslist for photography work. Just to see what's out there.
But I'd meet in a busy, public place in a good neighborhood too.
I live like 45 min from Litchfield Park....

I've been warned SO many times to only model for photographers I know, and know well. Apparently a lot of men pretend to be photographers so they can at least get in your pants legally but some resort to rape. He's doing it backwards though, you're supposed to trap models who are willing to sleep with men for work and leave the photographers alone.

What legitimate person seeks a professional photographer on Craigslist anyway? Most clients would want to check out an online portfolio instead of meeting some random person from Craigslist.

Sarah Walker, the woman who was arrested with her husband and a friend over Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's bestiality bust stemming from a Craigslist ad, claims to be one of the victims of sexual-assault suspect and self-described "sex pig" Lee Lubonne.

Lubonne... "may" be a suspected serial sexual predator, according to the Sheriff's Office, after one woman -- purportedly Walker -- went forward to police about her alleged assault, and a 15-year-old girl also identified him as the one who assaulted her after that.

The items found at his house include various recording devices, a duffel bag filled with "sexual apparatus[es]," a bag of what detectives believe are "trophies" -- including medication bottles, printouts of profiles of women from social-networking websites, and maps -- as well as 13 hard drives and thumb drives locked in a safe, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The to-do lists found in his car and home also aroused the suspicions of detectives, as one said he had to meet one of the victims and buy zip ties, and another "stated his desire to stop being a 'sex pig' and to find Jesus," according to MCSO.

According to the court documents, a 33-year-old woman told detectives Lubonne contacted her under the guise of wanting to hire her as a professional photographer via Craigslist, and they met Saturday at a west Valley coffee shop.

As we mentioned, part of their discussion at the coffee shop seems to show that Lubonne knew who the woman was.

"They talked for about a half hour and during this conversation, he brought up the bestiality case and asked her questions about it," court documents state. "She diverted the questions back to the photography and he told her that he wanted to do the shoot at his residence."

After going back to Lubonne's house that day -- May 19 -- the victim told police she felt sedated, as if she'd been drugged, after taking a bottle of water from Lubonne, and was eventually sexually assaulted.

She told police she was only able to convince Lubonne to let her leave later because she had a court-ordered ankle monitoring device, and she caught the house number on her way out to help lead police to Lubonne.

Based on information provided by that victim, one of the sex-crime detectives noticed similarities to another case, involving a 15-year-old girl who was looking for a babysitting job on Craigslist.

I know that anyone can be the victim of a sexual assault, but I'm really having a hard time believing that a woman who had pled guilty to trying to have sex with a dog, her husband and her lover would have any problems with any type of sexual contact.

I think the difference is that the woman voluntarily had, or attempted to have, sex with the dog; but did not consent to sex with the pig. Good God! Who would voluntarily have sex with that mean-looking muthafucker? Even the kinkiest slut alive would hesitate, no matter how much money was involved. I'd run like a spotted ape if he even tried to ask me for directions to the zoo.
