Doctors Accidentally Sever Baby's Head During Childbirth

A team of five doctors at the Santa Isabel maternity hospital had spent hours trying to deliver the baby in the early hours of Tuesday.

The 22-year-old mother, who has three other children, told her family she knew something was wrong when she heard something 'crack'.

Gilmara Azevedo dos Santos, the woman's cousin, said "She went through a lot of suffering, it was hours and hours and a lot of pain and discomfort, with doctors pushing on her stomach, trying everything to make the baby come out." At one point, she heard a loud noise and one of the doctors said, 'Marcos, are you crazy?"

He said the mother asked what was happening but didn't get an answer.

She was rushed for an emergency Caesarian where, according to the woman, the headless body of the baby was removed.

Absolutely horrifying for the parents . I don't know how anyone could recover ( emotionally ) from what this woman has gone through .

Didn't something like this happen a couple of years ago? How absolutely horrifying. And if one of the doctors felt strongly enough to make an exclamation like that, Marcos might as well jump off a friggin' cliff.

There is a story in here somewhere of a baby s head being pulled off during birth. I am not sure if it is the same one @Zazen refers to

"This is so difficult!! A very close friend of mine had something happen too. She had a difficult pregnancy and was closely monitored. At 29 weeks she went into premature labour, went into hospital and was 2cms dialated, but they stopped her labour and things were going well. She said she couldnt touch any money that had come from that situation. Her daughter would be 2 this year on 11th November, Remeberance Day! also her husbands birthday.
On the plus side, she is pregnant again and expecting a boy in april!"

The thought of 'Marcos' pulling on that baby's head hard enough to fucking PULL IT OFF is unbelievable! Where the fuck did they study medicine, ffs? The baby is stuck, but they don't do the C-section until AFTER they have pulled off it's head and killed it? That's what C-sections are for, asshole! Saving the lives of babies who are stuck, and saving the mothers life if things are going bad! They work best when carried out BEFORE pulling off the baby's head!

They spend ''hours and hours'' pulling on that baby to get it out, and THEN rush the poor mother for an emergency C-section once they have killed her baby in that horrific manner. What a bunch of incompetent knobheads (to say the very least).

Silva, if you reread it, you'll notice the poster was talking about a female doctor. But the fact that it was a locum tenens doctor pretty much says it all to me. I'm sure they're not all bad, but I have seen some doozies.
