Couple Tries To Print Picture Of Dead Fetus Laying In Road

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - The Lee County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a young hispanic couple tries to print a photo of a dead fetus at a Walmart store.

"We wanna get down to how this picture came about," Lee Co. Sheriff's Office spokesperson SGT. David Velez said.

According to a sheriff's office report, a young hispanic couple was trying to print some pictures at the self-service machine at the Walmart store on Lee Blvd in Lehigh Acres Tuesday night.

The couple was having trouble and asked a worker for help. The worker discovered the picture of a fetus the couple had printed. Documents detail the picture showed a male fetus with an attached placenta lying face down in the road.

"The employee thought the picture was questionable," Velez said. "Due to the policy of the store, (she) would not release the picture. she did the right thing."

Documents show the couple argued with the clerk when she wouldn't give them the pic.

The woman told the clerk that she didn't understand because the picture was taken in Puerto Rico. The couple then left the store and law enforcement was later alerted.

"We do have a copy of a picture but we don't have the identities of the people who were trying to make a copy of that." Velez said. "We would like to talk to them."

"At what point does a picture become a law enforcement issue?" Hogan asked Velez.

"Clearly, if anything looks like it's illegial in nature, or a crime of any sort," he said. "If a picture is or not a picture of good moral character."

"What is the message for people developing pictures, what should they be doing or not doing with their photos?" Hogan asked velez.

"The reality is we know what is decent. We don't want pictures that are inappropriate," he said.

Law enforcement says the clerk did the right thing by not giving the photo back and contacting authorities.

Ummm why the fuck would someone want a pic of a dead baby that was lying in a road, I have to assume the baby wasn't theirs because if it was they could have had pics taken of their deceased baby professionally at the hospital...the main question is why is the baby in a road? Another one is if someone just happened to have a miscarriage why was the baby just left in the road? This is starting to make less and less sense as something that happened on accident or as a natural occurrence.....I am getting really suspicious that something was done to end this pregnancy and this baby's life.
I love my mom because she loves me and she is a great mom she loves me so much she bought me a psp that stands for playstation portable.

They'll probably look at surveillance photo's see if they can grab a picture of them run them through the system.

Def. questionable. Can't think of any reasonable explanation why they'd want a photo like that printed or better yet if they took the picture themselves, and if that was their baby.
ugh. all kinds of creepy thoughts.

While it is gross as hell that someone would want a pic of a dead fetus on a road it irritates me that WalMart has this stupid policy. Kiki went to NY, and she took a picture of an art work, a gold dick. WalMart refused to print the pic. So it is just gone now.

There is a huge difference between a dead baby lying in the road with it's placenta still attached, and a golden dick artwork. I can see why WalMart would report the foetus pic, but not the dick, that's just silly.

I really can't imagine why anyone would want to take a photo of a foetus lying in the road. Were they just strolling along in Puerto Rico, happened upon the foetus and decided it would make a great souvenir holiday snap -''Here's one of the sunset - see the colours? Oh and here's the dead foetus we saw in the road. If you look closely you can see the placenta, which was still attached! How cool is that?!" Is it SO common to find dumped babies that it's a perfectly normal reaction to take a photo?

If I was wandering down the road and found some dead fetus just lying around, I would probably take a picture of it. Just for proof I actually saw it. Then I would be running off to call the cops.

I can't imagine I would want to go to Walmart for a souvenir print, though. After I gave it to the authorities, I would be hitting the delete button on it.

The fact that the picture was of a dead fetus, makes my skin crawl. Just so that is out of the way...

If in fact the picture was taken in another country, why didn't these folks just stick around and explain that to the Cops, should've been easy enough to prove they were in another country. Then, there is nothing criminal on their part and off they go to another photo developer.

The problem I have with this, is that the Walmart worker and the Police are trying to push their ideas of moral turpitude on everyone else. While the great majority of people would never take let alone look at a picture like that, there are plenty of pictures like that floating around the interwebs. We send journalists to document war, where they take pictures of small children dead in the streets. There are multitudes of websites, that do nothing but document death with pictures and videos. There is the oldie but goody series of Faces of Death..... While this Walmart worker and Police officer may have found the photo distasteful it is NOT their job to decide what is morally right for another individual. It is another invasion of our rights and another way of keeping the sheeple in the herd...

ok rant over.... and yep still grossed out as to what the pic was of.... but I would've taken the pic, turned it over to the authorities and blogged about taking it here :)

Keep in mind that while walmarts intentions are good, they got a grandmother charged with child porn for a tasteful bathtub photo. @Nell email me the gold dick, I will print it for you.

I can't email you any photos from a film camera. A 35 millimeter camera, not digital. So it really is gone.

And I don't think that WalMart should be dictating anyones morals. If I knew they were going to be such assholes i would have taken the film to a private developer.
