Inmates report prisoner molested daughter while in jail


The child was allegedly molested in Joseph Harp Correctional Facility in Lexington.


Eugene Bond could face another life sentence for the alleged assault.

LEXINGTON, Okla. -- Inmates reported a child was molested by her father who was serving time in the Joseph Harp Correction Facility in Lexington. The accused, Eugene Bond, was already serving a life-sentence for sex crimes.


"His wife brought in their biological daughter into the visitation area," said Cleveland County District Attorney Greg Mashburn.

The mother admits bringing her daughter to the prison several other times, letting the girl sit on Bond's lap. The district attorney's office is filing charges against the mother as well for enabling the child abuse.

Mashburn is filing charges for one act of molestation and his office is investigating into how many times the girl was assaulted.

I agree--GF should be charged with enabling the abuse at the very minimum!

Thank God for allowing some of the inmates to keep a shred of decency by reporting this POS. It is hard enough to snitch on somebody for something, much less something of this magnitude.

I hope they will transfer the guy- or the guys who snitched for their safety; they are doing their time and trying to help a kid out of a bad situation--good for them!

I'm glad they're bringing charges on the mother, cause if I was married to a convicted sex criminal not only would I, A) divorce him immediately, and B) I sure as hell wouldn't be taking his child to see him. Purcell, Ok -- A man serving life in prison for lewd molestation has been accused of molesting his daughter while she was visiting at a Lexington prison.

The charge of lewd acts with a charge came Thursday for Eugene Bond, 42, of Oklahoma City. Bond is an inmate at Joseph Harp Correctional Facility.

Bond’s wife, Rebecca Bond, 40, of Oklahoma City, was charged with enabling child abuse. She was released on a personal recognizance bond posted in Cleveland County District Court Friday.

The act against the eight-year-old allegedly occurred when the mother brought the girl to visit her father. It occurred in the visiting room while the daughter was sitting on Bond’s lap.

Another couple in the visiting room reportedly witnessed the occurrence. Bond was reportedly rubbing the child inappropriately.

The incident was also recorded by cameras that monitor the visiting room.

The Department of Human Services has taken custody of the child. The mother is to have no contact with the child unless approved by the DHS, according to the court records.

Bond’s first conviction came in 1988 in Tennessee for molesting a six-year-old girl. He was convicted in April 1996 in Oklahoma County for second-degree rape by instrumentation, after a former felony conviction and placed on 10 years probation.

In October 2003, Bond was convicted in Grady County of two counts of lewd acts with a child, after former felony convictions. This is where he received his life sentence.

I know I'm going to get groaned for this BUT look at the facts. In a room full of people monitored by video and guards this girl didn't raise a fuss, didn't scream, didn't try to stand up, or run away. She had no objections to her fathers attentions. The girl probably wanted to see her father and mom didn't see any harm in taking a little girl who loved her dad to visit. It's quite possible that she was sitting on the other side of the table and couldn't see what his hands were doing under it. How many moms deny the possibility of a father doing something like that until the day they open the bedroom door and walk in on it. Everyone thinks the mother had to know but the truth is she didn't have to know and it's possible that she didn't. It's hard to believe that a man could touch his own daughter but it's almost inconceivable that the daughter could enjoy being touched. We know from the articles on this site that the former happens all too often and in reality the latter happens more that you would expect. I would be curious to see the video to see if you could tell from the mother's demeanor if she had a clue as to what was happening in front of her own eyes.

Who said she has half a brain cell? I'm sure she knows the charges he's been convicted of but did she believe them. How many women go to their graves believing that her loved one was wrongly convicted despite a mountain of overwhelming evidence?
