ROSAMOND, Calif. -- A woman was arrested on child endangerment charges after investigators said she used her 6-year-old son to transport methamphetamine.
Kern County sheriff's deputies said that at about 2:45 p.m. Saturday, they were sent to a home in the 1300 block of Rosamond Boulevard regarding drug activity.
Deputies said they found a 6-year-old boy who had been found in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine.
During the investigation, deputies said they were able to determine the boy had been used by two adults to deliver the methamphetamine.
Deputies arrested Aimee Matheu, 31, from Rosamond, the child’s mother, on charges of possession of a controlled substance, child endangerment, and inducing a minor to carry narcotics.
Matheu was booked at the Kern County Jail.
Two children were taken into protective custody.
