FLORAL CITY --
A Floral City woman and her daughter were found after they were allegedly abducted by the woman's ex-boyfriend after 10 p.m. Thursday.
Citrus County Sheriff's officials said a 29-year-old woman and her 2-year-old daughter went missing after neighbors reporting hearing a gunshot and screams for help before a vehicle sped away from a home on E. Gobbler Drive in Floral City.
Deputies said the woman was injured when the suspect, David Duncan, Jr., 52, took the mother and daughter to the home of an acquaintance in Marion County and dropped them off nearby.
The victim, who had been beaten, was transported to Munroe Regional Medical Center, treated and released. The toddler was unharmed.
Duncan remains at large. Citrus County Sheriff's detectives have secured a warrant for Duncan’s arrest.
He is described as 5 feet 10 inches, 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Duncan faces two counts of kidnapping, one count of aggravated battery with a firearm and one count of armed burglary. Other charges may be pending.
