its not an everyday thing maybe 2 -3 times a year sometimes we dont hear any for a year or 2
The last one I remember was when that teen was killed playing with one about a year ago and they detonated another one there that night with the robot

Sources say explosive device was sitting in Detroit federal building for several weeks

Police do not know what Dejuan Noel was doing with the explosive, but think think he was intending to harm his ex-girlfriend. She is okay. Family members say Noel had no intention to kill the girl, and that his death was accidental.
Other grenade materials were found in the home and destroyed.
This is the one I remembered the most B/c they had the robot take it to Belle Isle on live TV kinda like the O.j chase

It appears that they don't regulary set them off or do testing out there but when they find one that's the spot to safely denotate it. How freaky that must be for you and everyone who lives near there. I'm betting they go off without warning too. Would scare the daylights out of me lol.

I know this was not what the purpose of the post was; but did anybody else find an object lesson in denial in this?
How do they know what he intended? He's dead and cannot tell them what the plan was. And his death was accidental? What was he doing when this accident happened, I ask the family? I cannot really think of any good or innocent reason for having explosives to hand to have the accident with unless he was in the armed forces or in mining/road-building. And I am sort of getting the impression that he was not.....

Actually I was able to find out through my friends dad whos a retired cop
They detonate them between Belle Isle and Chandler Park(where ever that is) depending on the location of where they find them and sometimes if they are thought to be bogus they will in middle of street in a mini bomb container kinda like the robot they use
