Repeat DWI Offender Ashton Craven Charged In Crash That Killed Unborn Baby

HOUSTON—Charges have been filed against a repeat DWI offender in a crash that killed an unborn child.
Ashton Vincent Craven, 38, is charged with felony DWI in connection with an accident that occurred around 1:10 p.m. Saturday at Bataan and Rutland in southeast Houston.

Police said Craven ran a stop sign at the intersection and struck a Corolla.

The driver, who was five months pregnant, was taken to Memorial Hermann, where she lost her baby.
Doctors later determined the miscarriage was caused by the crash.

Craven was taken to Ben Taub, where he was treated and released into HPD custody.

How sad. She was just driving around, minding her own business and *BAM!* some drunk/drugged asshole slams into her. That picture of him is priceless. I have a feeling he will have that look on his face quite a bit when he spends time in the pokey.
