Moriah Milan and Audermar Peterson Taken By Non-Custodial Mother *found safe*

Authorities issued an Amber Alert on Thursday for two children abducted in Peoria by their noncustodial mother.

The two children were last seen around 10:20 a.m. Thursday in a green Mercury wagon, with the Illinois license plate P487981, northbound on Hamilton in downtown Peoria.

The children are Moriah Milan and Audermar Peterson. Moriah is a 1-year-old black girl, about 2-foot-6, 24 pounds, wearing a green shirt, blue jeans, green coat and purple or pink Reebox shoes. Audermar is a 2-month-old black boy wearing a blue/white “onesy” with a white blanket with blue stars on it.

They were taken by noncustodial mother Nyway Abbaa, a 20-year-old black woman, about 5-foot-9, 180 pounds, wearing an African head scarf, pink shirt and gray pants.

The children were found safe.

Two Peoria children and their mother have been found in Minnesota after a nationwide Amber Alert was issued Thursday afternoon.

Nyway Abbaa, 19, was arrested at 8 p.m. Thursday in Minneapolis. The children are safe and were taken into protective custody.

The father of one of the children was reportedly with Abbaa but has not yet been found.

Peoria Police say Abbaa took the children though she does not have custodial rights to either the two month old nor the one year old child..
