HOMER CITY -- Two Homer City residents have been charged with sexually assaulting and raping a teenage girl over a three-year period.
State police at Indiana accused Ralph Duncan, 83, of sexually assaulting the teen starting in May 2009 when she was 13, and escalated to raping the girl starting in the spring of 2011. The victim is now 16.
Police said Duncan continued to rape the victim until she was able to disclose the incidents to a friend on Facebook on the Internet. The friend called the state police and officers checked on the welfare of the victim, according to police. The teen then disclosed the incidents to investigators.
Police also said Katherine Duncan, 34, knew about the assaults and rapes and aided Ralph Duncan in committing the crimes against the girl. According to a court official, the Duncans are husband and wife.
Ralph Duncan was charged with rape, indecent assault and endangering the welfare of children, according to court papers. Katherine Duncan was charged with conspiracy to commit rape, indecent assault and endangering the welfare of children.[...]
