Mike Hodak Saves The Day and A Kitten,Stops Traffic To Rescue It In Liberty Tunnels

    Mike Hodak
    PITTSBURGH -
A man stopped Thursday morning rush-hour traffic in a Pittsburgh tunnel so he could rescue a kitten that's only a few weeks old.
    [...]
"What the heck am I doing in the middle of the Liberty Tunnels, chasing a cat?" Hodak said with a laugh. "But she ran from me, and I caught her. She gave me a good bite."
He continued on his way to Monroeville, while his wife, Tammy, took the kitten to a veterinarian.

The vet said the kitten -- a female -- is four weeks old and weighs one pound.

Hodak named the kitty "Liberty" -- what else? -- and is holding onto it until the owner is found.

I am so glad he got it! It'd be a true shame if she got hit. Those kittens are good eatin'!

    C'mon. You know I'm kidding...

We had one like that we called him Pooh, as in "Winnie the".

Really nice man for rescuing a CAT, alot of men wouldn't have. Probably doesn't have an owner, so he needs to just go ahead and keep her, he knows he wants to.
