Somewhere there is a drug smuggler saying "WTF?"
http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/news/54...olice.html.cspA Salt Lake City woman got more than she bargained for when she opened her box of tampons.
Police Detective Carlie Wiechman said that earlier this week the woman found that someone had removed many of the tampons and shoved baggies full of cocaine into the cardboard applicators.
The woman immediately called police, who brought in a hazardous material team that determined the white powdery substance was, in fact, cocaine.

She said the box apparently didn’t look like it had been tampered before the woman purchased it.
"It’s weird," Wiechman said. "It’s not something we’ve seen a ton of."
http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=20252930Cindy Davidson purchased the tampons while shopping at The NPS Store at 1600 S. Empire Road in Salt Lake City on Saturday. She had a receipt to prove it.
On Sunday, she opened the box and found that several of the individual tampons had suspicious packaging inside the applicator.
"It was real powdery and it was in the thicker cellophane," she said. "They had taped it really good in the middle and I spent about 5 minutes trying to open it and never did get it open.
Davidson called police fearing the powder was toxic.

The NPS Store has pulled the particular brand of tampons Davidson bought from the shelf. Police say they'll be working with the store in trying to get to the bottom of this.
"One of the officers Googled it and it wasn't Mexico where I would assume it came from," Davidson said. "It was like, I want to say Russia or some place like that."
Police fear there could be more boxes out there. They ask that anyone who finds one call to report it.

SALT LAKE CITY, UT – National Products Store might be the rock star of discount stores, because a Utah mom got way more than she bargained for when she purchased a box of tampons on April 29.
