Ashley Barnes Allegedly Killed 3 Kittens With Bare Hands

Hopped up on a friend's prescription pills, Ashley Barnes allegedly went on a rampage, squeezing three 2-week-old kittens so hard their intestines fell out.

The 21-year-old woman, who was visiting Delaware from Florida last month, was slapped with three counts of felony animal cruelty and released on $1,000 bond, the Delaware News-Journal reported.

Barnes subsequently failed to appear at a April 25 hearing in Georgetown, and cops are now looking for her.

A friend of Barnes claims she was staying at her home and stole medication, according to court documents procured by the paper.

The woman says Barnes "appeared to be under the influence of medications," walked into another room and crushed the three kittens.

One kitten died instantly. The other two had to be euthanized at a veterinary clinic.

Barnes then reportedly grabbed a knife and threatened to kill herself. Officers arrived and took her to a behavioral health hospital for a psychiatric evaluation before arresting her.

Dover Police believe Barnes may have returned to Florida, the Associated Press reported. [...]

Co-sign this post. What the frak??!! I don't care if she was hopped up on stolen pills, she decided to take them, so she's totally responsible for what she did. Which by the way is disgusting. I'd like to squeeze her till her guts spill out.

I agree, she should've been allowed to kill herself. What really pisses me off is the fucking smug look on her face in her mugshot, as if to say "so what". I'm not even a fan of cats as pets, but I don't condone that kind of cruelty towards another living thing (okay, maybe some people featured on this site) , but I digress. Hopefully in the "Strange But True" folder after being attacked by fifty-seven alley cats that knock her down hard enough to render her motionless, and then eat her from the toes up.

Incidentally, a friend told me yesterday that there is now or is going to be a national registry for animal abusers. I hope this is true.

and I know not everyone is like me and loves animals
But they dont have to hurt them

The Wilmington Police Department has arrested the woman who was wanted on animal cruelty charges after officials say she squeezed three kittens to death.

Nicholas Pepe of the Delaware Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said 21-year-old Ashley Barnes was found May 10 in Rodney Square in Wilmington.

The incident occurred April 6 when the kittens' owner confronted Barnes, who had been staying in her Millsboro home, about stealing her prescription medication, according to court records.

Barnes, who the owner said "appeared to be under the influence of medications," reportedly became very upset by the accusation, and the woman called a friend to come over to her house to control Barnes until police arrived.

The woman then noticed the door to the bedroom where the kittens were kept was open, when it was usually kept closed.

When the woman went to check on the kittens, she picked one up and it was bloody, according to court records.

Another of the kittens had its intestines hanging out.
