    Police: Babysitter Dustin Whisenant Took 7yo Girl On Burglary

    A Shelbyville man was arrested Saturday after police said he took a 7-year-old girl he was babysitting on a burglary run.

    Dustin Whisenant was charged Monday with residential burglary, theft, obstruction of justice, fleeing, neglect of a dependent, receiving stolen property and intimidation.
    Officers with the Shelbyville Police Department were dispatched to a home in the 100 block of Elliott Street at 3 p.m. Saturday on a report someone was breaking into the house.

    When police arrived, they located a vehicle near the residence with Whisenant and the young girl inside. The suspect reportedly backed his vehicle up at a high rate of speed and fled the scene.
    The car was located at a home in the 800 block of W. Washington Street. When they entered the home, police found the girl and several weapons. A police K-9 was released to locate Whisenant.

    The worst my babysitter ever did was teach me how to light my pants on fire with hairspray, then take us on a 3 am hike to her mans house.
