Williamson / Example of a non-3-week-dead chinchilla

An upstate man is accused of digging up a woman's dead pet and texting a photo of it to the woman.

Police arrested Raymond S. Williamson, 20, of Kingston on Sunday evening.

They say that on Saturday, Williamson was in a domestic dispute with a 19-year-old woman at a Hudson Valley home. Police say that Williamson pushed and scratched the woman during the fight and attempted to steal her phone.

He is accused of also stealing $260 from her after the fight.

The next day, police say he sent a text photo to the woman of a pet that had died three weeks earlier. Officers say that Williamson had dug up the dead pet, described as a chinchilla, in order to take the photo.

They carted him off for a mental evaluation and he will be charged later.

That lil rat-squirrel and I were good friends. I miss her!
