A man who wore only a loin cloth to mow his lawn ended up behind bars for disorderly conduct.

Police arrested 43 year-old Matthew Swanson Wednesday afternoon after a neighbor said Swanson had partially exposed himself and was swearing near a day care with children present. Police say he wouldn't stop and shouted obscenities, resulting in his arrest.

Swanson had been cited earlier in the day for making harassing phone calls, including obscenities to the police department.

It's a free country and all, but there are still limits.

That lesson was learned the hard way on Wednesday afternoon by Matthew Swanson, a 43-year-old resident of Fergus Falls. Swanson was hauled to jail just before 5 p.m. after a neighbor reported that he was mowing his lawn in a loincloth. NIMBY, indeed!

Swanson, clad in his too-revealing cloth, was also allegedly swearing near a daycare with children present. He was arrested for disorderly conduct.

The neighbor told police that the profanity-uttering, loincloth-wearing Swanson had "partially exposed himself" while mowing. When officers arrived, Swanson wouldn't stop shouting obscenities and ended up being hauled away in cuffs.

It sounds like Swanson woke up on the wrong side of the bed Wednesday. Before the lawn mowing incident, he had already been cited for making harassing phone calls, including calling the Fergus Falls Police Department and swearing at employees.
