ORANGE, Calif. — A Southern California father captured after a freeway chase was booked early Friday in the deaths of his girlfriend and the couple's two young boys, police said.

The bodies haven't been found.

Evidence in the blood-splattered Orange County apartment of Shazer Fernando Limas, 31, and his statements to investigators led to his arrest for murder, Orange police Sgt. Dan Adams said.

"We are confident this is our suspect," Adams said.

Fernando Limas was arrested hours earlier, after an Interstate 5 car chase that shut down the freeway near San Onofre for an hour. A spike strip was used to flatten the tires on his Nissan 350Z.

Fernando Limas doesn't have an attorney.

Evidence indicates the victims were killed about three weeks ago after an altercation in the apartment they shared in Orange, and the bodies were dumped elsewhere, Adams said.

Investigators were searching several Southern California areas for the bodies of 31-year-old Arlet Hernandez Contreras and the couple's 4-month-old and 2-year-old sons.

I hate stories like this. Controlling douchebags like this should just stick to video games and real dolls if they so badly want something to control and never leave them. Unfreakinbelievable how twisted up in the head people can be. You gotta be a cold cruel individual to kill a baby. Yours or not. I hope this is a DP case becoz this waste of space deserves it.

The body of 31-year-old Arlet Hernandez Contreras, who investigators suspected was killed along with her two sons at an Orange County apartment complex, has been found at the Los Angeles County morgue.

Homicide detectives contacted various coroner offices, asking if they had any unidentified female bodies, said Orange Police Sgt. Dan Adams. The Los Angeles County coroner's office responded, indicating it had a woman who appeared to have been stabbed to death. The case was being investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

"Last night, it was confirmed that female's body is our adult victim," Adams said Saturday.

The body was found April 25 in the city of La Puente, Adams said.

So far, the bodies of Contreras' two children, a 4-month-old and a 2-year-old, have not been found.

Authorities began searching for Limas after managers found blood and other evidence at an apartment in Orange that he moved out of last month.

Trash from the apartment complex is dumped at a Brea landfill, which police searched Thursday night and early Friday.

"We wanted to check it in the event he had discarded the bodies," Adams said.

Evidence suggests that the three were killed inside the apartment, possibly a week ago, police said.

Police said Limas, Hernandez and the children had shared the unit.

Neighbors, who asked not to be identified, said they heard loud music coming from the apartment between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. on the night the killings are thought to have occurred. They described Limas as "odd" and "not approachable."

IRVINE, Calif. (KTLA) -- Police are once again searching an Irvine landfill for the bodies of two young boys believed to have been killed by their father more than a month ago.

Investigators believe that Shazer Fernando Limas, 31, is responsible for the death of his girlfriend and their 1-year-old and 3-month-old children.

Limas was booked on three counts of special circumstances murder after he led police on a pursuit that ended in a standoff on the 5 Freeway near San Clemente last Thursday.

Limas underwent surgery for a cut to his hand the day after he allegedly stabbed Contreras and the boys to death.

Seriously makes me ill. He gets surgery for the hand the he used to kill his wife and babies. FUCK THAT SHIT. bury him under 20 feet of trash, stinking with the stench of his own decaying children. Burn in hell baby killer.

The mother to Hernandez-Contreras speaks on her daughters relationship with Limas.

'COLD WITH CHILDREN'

Contreras said her family came from Mexico City 10 years ago. Her daughter met Limas when the family was in the office-cleaning business. Limas began dating her daughter and even asked for her hand in marriage. But their three-year relationship became rocky every time she got pregnant. Contreras said her daughter moved in with her during each of her pregnancies and said Limas didn't go to the hospital when she gave birth to his sons.

"He was very cold with the children," Contreras said. "Arlet was always alone. He worked a lot," adding that he was a manager for a commercial cleaning-supply company.

Arlet moved back in with Limas about a month and a half ago after she gave birth to 3-month-old Emanuel, Contreras said.

"I had her here with me," Contreras said as she looked at the urn containing her daughter's ashes. "I took care of her and he took her from me. I think he had it planned because it happened very quickly.

"Why didn't he send her back to me if he didn't want her with him?"

Mayra Contreras, who worked with Arlet at a tax preparation office in Anaheim, became worried when she didn't hear from her daughter for a couple of days. So she began calling her and quickly got text messages that said everything was fine and that she was on vacation with Limas and the boys.

"This bad soul began texting me pretending to be her," Contreras said as tears rolled down her face. "He answered my texts and said everything was fine."

It wasn't until police came to her workplace that she learned her daughter was most likely dead.

My heart breaks for her. She believes her grandbabies are still alive but I think that is grief and denial speaking. Doubt they'll ever be found if he dumped their bodies in the land-field.
