MO Man Calls Cops When Psychic Fails To Lift Curse

Well, this is embarrassing... (Chesterfield is a relatively affluent, in a new kind of way, suburb of St. Louis)

CHESTERFIELD, Missouri (KMOV) -- A Chesterfield man called police this week to report he was the victim of fraud.

The man told he police he sent thousands of dollars in payments and gifts over the last several years to a psychic with the Astrology Awareness Center in California. He said he sent the money to lift the curse of bad luck in his life.

But the man told officers that the psychic failed to rid his life of bad luck as promised and he wanted police to investigate.

Chesterfield police told the man that a psychic’s failure to lift a curse is not a crime and recommended he hire an attorney and take the company to court.

Hahahaha... Dumb cops, they should have simply referred him to http://quackwatch.org/ rather than encouraging him to tie up the courts with his idiocy.
