More charges are expected against a 46-year-old Knoxville man accused Tuesday of raping a 12-year-old boy, police said Tuesday.
Christopher Howard was being held in jail in lieu of $1 million bond on the rape charge.
Investigators have identified more juvenile victims, according to Knoxville Police Department spokesman Darrell DeBusk.
Howard of Cassell Valley Way in Lonsdale was arrested Monday night.
"There will be additional charges coming as we have identified other victims — both male and female — all juveniles," DeBusk said. "That's part of the reason for the bond."
Court records state the alleged victim was visiting a friend's apartment on March 10 when the friend's dad assaulted him. The assault included touching the boy's private area with a hand and orally, records show.
Police were alerted March 11 when a relative of the alleged victim called authorities.
The Department of Children's Services removed three boys ages 7-12 from Howard's home on the same day police were alerted to the allegation.
