Missing/Dupe Post On The Front Page

I noticed this a while ago but forgot about it until this evening. There's something screwy with how the Front Page pages are displaying posts; it's missing some posts and sometimes displaying the same post at the bottom of one page and the top of the next:

There are five posts missing between the last post on page 1 and the first post on page 2:

LOL no, just bored. But not bored enough to proceed further and see if it established any pattern, since I know fuck-all about html/php and couldn't guess why it's doing that from my end. I only remembered it because Morbid (I think, maybe Pete) mentioned on a PoD recently about looking for a particular story on the site and being unable to find it, and I wondered if it had something to do with this.
