Flagler County deputies said a woman's son armed himself with a samurai sword to save her from an attack by his stepfather Sunday.

According to deputies, the stepfather, Zbigniew Supinski, choked his wife and threatened her with a gun, which fired during a struggle. A police report said the bullet struck the bedroom floor.

Deputies said the woman's son, 21-year-old Kamil Mezalka, heard his mother calling for help and grabbed a 2-foot-long Samurai sword.

Mezalka then kicked down the door of the master bedroom and, armed with the sword, told his stepfather to get off his mother.

Supinski, 63, was arrested Sunday afternoon and charged with domestic battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

A 21-year-old Florida man, who just last month was praised for saving his mother’s life with a Samurai sword, was taken into custody this week when he used the weapon to stab his computer as FBI agents raided his home for child pornography.

According to an affidavit obtained by the Daytona Beach News-Journal, Kamil Mezalka was in his underwear when agents arrived at his house with a search warrant and entered when no one came to the door.

Suspected of stockpiling pornographic images of young girls on his hard drive, Mezalka reportedly came out of his bedroom with his hands up when the agents entered and then went back into his room, shutting the door.

The agents followed him, saw him stab his computer with the sword, and took him into custody.

Mezalka reportedly admitted being attracted to young girls and said he “might have” downloaded pornography showing girls under the age of 13, according to the affidavit.

An examination of the computers in his home revealed hundreds of images of child pornography, both on the machine he attacked and others in his home, agents said. He faces a federal charge for downloading the images and could face up to 20 years in prison.

It’s a sharp turnaround for a man who in April was heralded as a hero for using the sword to save his mother, who was being choked and threatened with a loaded gun by his stepfather.

Armed with the 2-foot sword, Mezalka “forced entry” into his mother’s room when he heard her cries for help and intervened, telling his stepfather to get “off of his mother.”

Mezalka’s Samurai sword may have been his weapon of choice, but wasn’t his only one: the affidavit reportedly states that agents found a number of other swords in his room, as well as a loaded gun.

Palm Coast, FL - A man suspected of stockpiling child pornography in storage devices at his residence stabbed his computer with a Samurai sword as federal agents raided his home.
The home of Kamil Mezalka, 21, was the subject of a search warrant related to his suspected possession of child pornography. *Federal agents reportedly entered the residence after nobody answered the door. According to an arrest report, Mezalka came out of a second-floor bedroom with his hands up – but, then, re-entered the bedroom and shut the door. Agents entered into the room and observed him – in his underwear – stabbing the console of his computer with a two-handed Samurai sword. Reports of his first yelling something about the “Power of Greyskull” have not been substantiated.
Thankfully agents were able to stop Mezalka before he used his Far Eastern stealth and ingenuity to assassinate all of the electronic devices in his home. Federal agents conducted a forensic analysis of those devices and discovered hundreds of images depicting child pornography.
According to the affidavit, when interviewed by federal agents, our resident swordmaster said he was attracted to teenage girls and “might have” downloaded pornography depicting girls 13 years old and younger – presumably as a component of his sword polishing ritual.…
